It goes without saying, but from here on out I’ll refer to my blog as “LaF”. If you can’t figure out what that stands for, well, I pity you.
Anyways, on to the topic at hand! LoF has hit its two month mark today, and to be honest, I am quite astonished with myself. I have a bad habit with ADD when it comes to staying focused on the dozens of projects I try to do, and this blog has thus far stayed very prominent with my hobby life. Besides the fact I love playing internet spaceships online, I absolutely love writing, which is why I started this blog to begin with. Go figure!
I initially started off using word of mouth, facebook, and the Eve Online forums to get the word out about my blog, and each time I posted a new article. The chart above shows the sites stats by each week, and as you can see starting in April up until the middle of June activity was consistent, and low. That’s to be expected, and I’m just happy people are reading this period.
I presented the chart to show the huge spike in activity after June 15th. I was recommended by a friend to take advantage of Reddit, and the reaction I got was shocking. I had no idea so many players in Eve used Reddit as a source of information for the game so extensively.
In comparison to the many blogs already out, my stats are barely a shadow to them. But I just felt like showing the progress of Legos and Friends to my readers.
That all being said, I have my roadmap all laid out for how I want this blog to continue moving forward. I could be happy and content just posting myself every day or two of my thoughts and pewpew funs in Eve, but that’s not progress, and I like progress.
I chose the name Legos and Friends as my sites name for a few reasons. One, it brings smiles to peoples faces. Two, I didn’t really want anyone to take things too seriously on this site. I write this to have fun, and I want my readers to have fun reading my fun! And lastly, because I plan to bring in my close friends starting with Eve Online to also be writers here.
LaF is about stories and gaming!
My goal right now is to allow readers from not just Eve, but also from across the gaming community to be able to come here and read about all the shenanigans I and my friends do. I want to build a fun community of gamer’s who can just come here and enjoy a good read and have a laugh or two.
I’ve always wanted to do something like this for fun, and that is why I started this site. I hope by bringing in my good friends as writers here as well, or something similar at least, I can create even more diversity of personality and interest here for my readers to enjoy.
So with all of that said, I’ll close out this post. I just wanted to give everyone an idea of what to expect in the coming future for LoF!
See you in the verse’, and fly dangerously!
